SQLColAttribute SQL_DESC_TYPE_NAME driver may return junk data for resultset column data type. Issue 103664.
MySQL ODBC 8 ANSI Driver does not always convert wide character data (UTF-16) to UTF-8.
If the schema of a DBMS comparison side (SQL Server or Oracle, for example) has wide char columns (SQL_WCHAR, SQL_WVARCHAR, SQL_WLONGVARCHAR) then use the Unicode version of the MySQL ODBC driver until this issue is resolved.
